Creating Blog Posts
Boottify includes a full-featured blog system with a rich text editor, draft management, and publishing workflow.
Starting a New Post
- Navigate to Admin → Blog from the sidebar.
- Click New Post.
- Fill in the post details:
- Title — Your post's headline.
- Slug — URL-friendly identifier (auto-generated from title).
- Excerpt — A brief summary for post listings and SEO.
- Category — Select a blog category.
- Tags — Add relevant tags for organization and discovery.
- Featured Image — Upload a header image for the post.
The TipTap Editor
The content editor supports rich formatting:
- Headings (H1-H6) — Structure your content with headings.
- Bold, Italic, Underline — Text formatting options.
- Lists — Ordered and unordered lists.
- Code Blocks — Syntax-highlighted code snippets.
- Images — Upload and embed images inline.
- Links — Add hyperlinks to text.
- YouTube Embeds — Embed YouTube videos.
- Tables — Create data tables.
Saving Drafts
Posts are saved as drafts by default:
- Click Save Draft at any point to preserve your work.
- Return to drafts from the blog posts list (filter by "Draft" status).
- Continue editing until you're ready to publish.
Publishing
- Review your post content and metadata.
- Toggle the Published switch to on.
- Click Save.
- Your post is immediately live on the blog at
boottify.com/blog/[slug].
SEO Fields
Optimize your post for search engines:
- Meta Title — Custom title for search results.
- Meta Description — Summary shown in search result snippets.
- Keywords — Target keywords for the post.
