Comment Moderation

Blog posts on Boottify support user comments. As an admin, you can moderate these comments to maintain quality and prevent spam.

Viewing Comments

  1. Navigate to Admin → Blog → Comments.
  2. The comment list shows all comments across all blog posts.
  3. Each entry displays the commenter name, comment text, associated post, and status.

Comment Statuses

  • Pending — Awaiting moderation (not visible to the public).
  • Approved — Visible on the blog post.
  • Rejected — Hidden from public view.
  • Spam — Flagged as spam and hidden.

Moderating Individual Comments

For each comment, you can:

  • Click Approve to make it publicly visible.
  • Click Reject to hide it from the blog.
  • Click Delete to permanently remove it.
  • Click the comment to view it in full context on the blog post.

Bulk Moderation

For handling multiple comments at once:

  1. Select comments using the checkboxes.
  2. Choose a bulk action: Approve All, Reject All, or Delete All.
  3. Confirm the action.

Comment Notifications

When a new comment is submitted:

  • The comment appears in the pending queue.
  • Dashboard notifications alert admins of new comments.
  • Quick moderation is available directly from the notifications panel.

Best Practices

  • Review pending comments regularly to keep discussions active.
  • Use bulk actions for handling spam waves efficiently.
  • Consider the context and tone before rejecting legitimate comments.
