Passkeys (WebAuthn)
Boottify supports passwordless login via WebAuthn passkeys. You can register Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, or any FIDO2 hardware key as an authenticator on your account.
Registering a Passkey
- Open Settings → Security → Passkeys.
- Click Add a passkey.
- Approve the prompt from your operating system or hardware key.
- The platform auto-detects a friendly nickname (e.g. Touch ID (Mac), Windows Hello, Face ID (iPhone)).
Signing In with a Passkey
From the sign-in page, click Sign in with a passkey. Your browser prompts for the registered authenticator. No password is required and 2FA is optional (you can configure passkeys to skip the second factor).
Multi-Device Support
You can register multiple passkeys per account. Each one is bound to the device that created it. From the security panel you can rename, view last-used metadata, or remove any passkey.
Relying Party
The WebAuthn relying party ID is boottify.com. Existing credentials registered against the older control.boottify.com ID continue to work via dual-RP verification.
